UNISAL Manages Wheelchair Donation

UNISAL manages wheelchair donation for a vulnerable senior citizen

In an act of solidarity and commitment to the most needy communities, UNISAL El Salvador, in coordination with the organization New Horizons for the Poor, managed the donation of a wheelchair for Margarita Melara, a 94-year-old woman with mobility disabilities and a resident of the Los Pajales community in Santa Tecla, La Libertad.

The donation took place on October 23, 2024. The wheelchair was delivered free of charge and adapted to Margarita's specific needs, allowing her to improve her mobility and regain some of her independence in her daily life.

These types of actions, part of UNISAL's Humanitarian Aid Program, aim to transform lives through concrete support that makes a difference in the quality of life of people in vulnerable situations. Margarita, along with her family, expressed her deep gratitude for the support they received, as they did not have the necessary resources to purchase a wheelchair on their own. Gestures like this not only bring physical relief, but also hope and dignity to those who need it most.

With your support, we can continue reaching more people like Margarita.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps change lives.

Join this charitable cause and donate today so more families can receive the help they so desperately need.
